The Treasure Valley has had a cold April this year!

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Boise has seen the 12th coldest and snowiest April on record.

It is the coldest April since 2001 (41.1 F) and the snowiest April since 2003 (2.1").

NWS says April 9 through the 16 was the coldest stretch since April 1922.

As for the weather this week, we are expecting another rainstorm on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Treasure Valley could reach 70 degrees ahead of a cold front later that night.

The cold front will bring snow showers to the mountains and the potential for scattered showers here in the valley Tuesday.

Temperatures should cool 10 degrees below normal Tuesday night due to the cold front.

The rest of the week is showing an unsettled and moist weather pattern. The mountains are expecting snow showers on Thursday.

On Friday, warmer and drier conditions should return ahead of the weekend.
