Rick Nava’s ‘Ohana Night’ event June 11
Maui County Council candidate Rick Nava will hold a free “Ohana Night” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 11 at the Maui Tropical Plantation, according to an announcement.
Nava, a Lahaina resident, retired veteran and president/owner of Media Systems Inc., a photography and video production company, is seeking the council’s West Maui residency seat.

‘Duke Aiona For Governor Rally’ June 16
A “Duke Aiona For Governor Rally” will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 16 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.
The rally will offer an opportunity for the public to meet the former lieutenant governor, Family Court judge and Republican candidate for governor.
There will be dinner by Da Kitchen and live entertainment by local musicians. Tickets are $50 with a no-host bar.
