MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS 2) — A Meridian water park joined more than 40,000 other pools in The World's Largest Swimming Lesson which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous swimming lesson.
This global event took place over the course of 24 hours at an estimated 600 locations in more than 20 countries.
The goal of the event was to spread the message that swimming is a life-saving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning.
The lesson took place at Roaring Springs, which participated in the first, fifth and now tenth World’s Largest Swimming Lesson.
